WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO Launches New T-Shirt Series

On May 28, 2023, WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO, a cutting-edge conceptual project by Yohji Yamamoto, will release its second t-shirt series inspired by the invitation designs from past Paris Collection seasons. This collection follows the initial release, which featured selections from three unique seasons: Spring/Summer 1999, Fall/Winter 2012-13, and Fall/Winter 2019-20.

The latest series expands its offerings with designs from four additional seasons: Spring/Summer 2007, Spring/Summer 2016, Fall/Winter 2016-17, and Spring/Summer 2019. Designed by graphic designer Claque Nakamu, who has been creating invitations for Yohji Yamamoto since 1996, this t-shirt collection emphasizes a monochromatic aesthetic that evokes a strong sense of individuality and makes a bold statement.

Among the standout items of the second release is a memorable “eraser” originally used in the invitation for the Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME Spring/Summer 1999 collection. This unique approach garnered much attention and led to the popularity of the “eraser kit,” released as a novelty item that season. This latest update revisits the 1999 concept, featuring a graphic design compatible with modern trends, available as part of the new kit which will accompany each t-shirt.

Collection Details
