Melrose Law Launches Community Scholarship to Save Lives
In an effort to combat the rising incidents of drunk driving among young people,
Melrose Law, a prominent personal injury law firm based in Western North Carolina, has introduced the
Melrose Law Community Scholarship. This initiative aims to reduce DWI-related accidents by empowering high school students to become advocates for road safety.
Mark Melrose, a partner at the firm, highlighted the firm's commitment to creating safer communities by addressing the issues related to drunk driving. “As attorneys who witness the life-altering consequences of impaired driving on a daily basis, we established this $2,500 scholarship to help prevent tragedies before they occur,” Melrose stated. “This opportunity allows students to channel their creativity towards inspiring their peers to make safer choices behind the wheel.”
The scholarship program invites high school seniors from all around Western North Carolina to participate by submitting a
45 to 60-second video campaign focused on promoting safe driving practices and reducing the instance of drunk driving.
