Midea Building Technologies Unveils 'Smart in One' Solutions at AHR Expo 2026
Midea Building Technologies made a significant impact at the AHR Expo 2026, showcasing a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art smart solutions for the construction industry under the slogan 'Smart in One.' This presentation is tailored to address the evolving demands of key sectors, including data centers, industrial parks, and commercial and service facilities.
Highlights of the Presentation
The highlights of Midea’s booth include several advanced technologies designed to enhance efficiency and sustainability. Notably, the booth featured the
MagBoost Apex Pro, a centrifugal chiller equipped with patented second-generation oil-free magnetic bearings. This innovative design eliminates mechanical friction, thereby improving efficiency and operational reliability. The chiller boasts an incredible Integrated Part Load Value (IPLV) of 9.71, utilizing refrigerant R1234ze(E), and is engineered for a lifecycle of 30 years with an IP67 protection rating, producing just 70 dB(A) of noise. Its modular design allows for the connection of up to 16 units without additional controllers, employing refrigerants R1234ze(E) and R513A to mitigate environmental impacts.
Cooling Solutions for Data Centers
With the rapid evolution of AI computing technologies and high-density servers, data centers require cooling systems that are both efficient and reliable. Midea offers a comprehensive thermal regulation solution specifically designed for these environments, which includes precision refrigerant distribution units, high-efficiency fans, and productive chillers tailored for ultra-efficient data centers, achieving a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2. The systems feature multi-layer redundancy and leak protection technologies, ensuring 24/7 reliable system operation and paving the way for innovation without compromise.
Intelligent Integration as a Core Principle
At the heart of Midea's innovations is the
Midea iBUILDING platform, an advanced digital tool enabling smart building management through seamless connectivity of devices, data, and functionalities. The award-winning smart gateway facilitates connectivity for a variety of devices, including VRF systems, heat pumps, and chillers, through a single unit that supports various communication protocols. With native integrations for BACnet and Modbus protocols, the platform guarantees smooth compatibility with existing Building Management Systems (BMS).
The platform includes two core applications:
iEasyComfort, which provides data visualization and energy consumption monitoring for end-users, and
iEasyCare, which enables preventive maintenance by identifying faults in real-time and analyzing performance data for maintenance staff. These tools facilitate proactive equipment maintenance, optimize energy consumption, and enhance system reliability.
Addressing Diverse Challenges
As stated by a spokesperson from Midea Building Technologies, their participation at the AHR Expo is more than just a product showcase; it’s about demonstrating a holistic solution. The philosophy behind 'Smart in One' focuses on delivering interconnected solutions that are direct responses to critical challenges in energy consumption, operational resilience, and complex management in sectors like data centers, transport hubs, industrial parks, and commercial facilities.
This integrated approach positions Midea not just as a supplier of equipment but also as a partner in the growth of the international construction industry while fostering a more sustainable and smarter future.
