Driven Brands Expands Certified Repair Services for Luxury and Electric Vehicle Drivers
Significant Expansion of Certified Repair Services
In a significant move for the auto repair industry, Driven Brands Collision Group has announced a nationwide expansion of its certified repair services aimed at electric and luxury vehicle drivers. This initiative targets a growing market where vehicle technology continuously evolves, making it crucial for drivers to have access to reliable, manufacturer-approved repair options.
Meeting the Demands of Modern Drivers
With an increasing number of electric and high-end vehicles on the roads, traditional collision repair shops often lack the specialized knowledge required to perform safe and effective repairs. Understanding this gap, Driven Brands is dedicated to ensuring that drivers receive the highest standards of service that align with the specific needs of their vehicles.
Driven Brands owns several prominent collision repair brands, including Abra, CARSTAR, and Fix Auto USA. Their expansion will see these brands implementing over 300 original equipment manufacturer (OEM) certifications across their network, ensuring compliance with the latest repair standards. This means vehicles get repairs that not only restore their appearance but also protect their performance and safety features.
Specialized Training for Technicians
As the repair landscape evolves, so does the training of repair technicians. Driven Brands is investing heavily in training programs that equip technicians with the necessary skills to handle the most advanced automotive technologies, such as lightweight aluminum frameworks and advanced driver assistance systems. Currently, the company boasts 37 luxury OEM certifications for brands including Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. These certifications are crucial for ensuring that vehicles receive accurate repairs, thereby safeguarding their value and performance.
Electric vehicles (EVs) present unique challenges that standard vehicles do not. For instance, technicians must be proficient in high-voltage safety procedures, battery diagnostics, and specialized structural repair techniques. Driven Brands currently holds 288 EV certifications across its shops, positioning itself as a leader in the necessary expertise for EV repairs.
A Growing Need for Certified Services
As the popularity of electric vehicles skyrockets, the need for certified repair services continues to grow. Driven Brands' expansion aims to meet this demand comprehensively. For example, Abra holds 22 EV certifications, which represents about 40% of its network capacity. Similarly, CARSTAR leads with 141 EV certifications, while Fix Auto USA follows closely with 125 certifications. Such a wide reach ensures that both individual vehicle owners and fleet operators can access authorized repair services in numerous locations.
Commitment to Quality and Safety
Damien Reyna, COO of Driven Brands Collision Group, emphasizes the company’s ongoing commitment to quality.
