Supporting Cultural Heritage Through Delicious Crepes
In an inspiring move, Mash Food Lab has recently declared their commitment to cultural preservation by donating ¥587,100 (over $5,800) to the Shuri Castle Restoration Fund. This substantial contribution is derived from the sales of four exclusive crepes available only at their new gelato pique cafe location in the Okinawa Outlet Mall, Ashibina, set to open on April 26, 2024.
From June 2024, for every crepe purchased, ¥50 will be allocated to this important fund, supporting the historical heritage of Okinawa encapsulated in the Shuri Castle. The goal is to enhance public awareness and involvement in safeguarding the rich history and culture represented by this iconic site. The donation will be finalized based on sales performance until April 20, 2025, with an initial target of 11,742 crepes sold.
