atNorth Expands Leadership Team with Strategic Appointments

atNorth, the leading Nordic colocation and high-performance computing firm, has announced two significant hires aimed at fortifying its commitment to responsible growth in response to rising demand for sustainable data center solutions. The new appointments include Marie Ekström as the Director of People & Culture and Cora Olsen as the Director of Sustainability.

New Additions to the Team

Marie Ekström: Director of People & Culture

Marie comes with a wealth of experience in human resources, having spent over 15 years in various roles at prestigious firms such as IBM, Nordea, and Carnegie Investment Bank. Her background in the IT sector and keen interest in technology will be paramount as she works on developing a proactive people culture at atNorth. Marie's focus will be on fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce, ensuring that the company maintains its core values as it scales up its operations. She will be based at the SWE01 site and will report directly to Eva Sóley Guðbjörnsdóttir, CFO & Deputy CEO of atNorth.

Cora Olsen: Director of Sustainability

Cora brings more than two decades of sustainability expertise, previously serving as a Sustainability Advisor at EY and leading ESG Reporting at Novo Nordisk. Her role at atNorth will concentrate on building a robust sustainability team and enhancing the company's cross-functional capabilities in this area. Cora will initiate strategies focusing on renewable energy solutions and energy-efficient technologies, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure atNorth remains at the forefront of sustainability within the data center industry. She will operate from the company’s DEN01 site in Denmark and report to Erling Guðmundsson, Chief Operations Officer.

Commitment to Sustainable Growth

These appointments come at a pivotal time for atNorth as it pursues an aggressive data center expansion strategy. The leadership is keen to embed sustainability into every aspect of operations, reinforcing a culture of responsibility throughout the organization. Eva Sóley Guðbjörnsdóttir highlights that "our people are integral to the ongoing success of our business," underscoring the importance of these strategic hires in aligning talent with the company’s commitment to high performance and environmental stewardship.

This expansion of leadership follows several key appointments earlier this year, indicating atNorth's dedicated focus on building a multi-faceted team. The company's commitment to diversity and inclusion serves as a foundation for high-standard service in sustainable infrastructure.
