YFORE Reveals Next-Generation Digital Car Key System at IAA Mobility 2025

YFORE Unveils Next-Generation Digital Car Key at IAA Mobility 2025

In a major breakthrough for automotive technology, YFORE introduced its next-generation digital car key solution at the prestigious IAA Mobility 2025 event, which took place in Munich, Germany. This innovative key system redefines intelligent vehicle access by seamlessly integrating UWB (Ultra-Wideband), BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) Channel Sounding, Nearlink, and NFC (Near Field Communication) technologies, ensuring precise and secure access for vehicle manufacturers worldwide.

Embracing Precision Access

YFORE’s digital car key solution is built on advanced distance and location capabilities offered through UWB and BLE Channel Sounding technologies. This ensures that vehicle owners can enjoy a truly hands-free experience. For instance, in the case of the AITO M9, the vehicle can detect its user from as far as 30 meters away, initiate a welcoming function at 8 meters, and automatically unlock itself within 2 meters, providing a frictionless entry experience.

Combatting Cyber Threats

Acknowledging the growing cybersecurity challenges, YFORE has implemented multi-layered security measures leveraging UWB/BLE Time-of-Flight technology. This advanced system actively counters relay attacks and signal hijacking attempts, guaranteeing enhanced safety from external access through to in-cabin protection.

Flexibility with User Preferences

YFORE’s digital key system is remarkably versatile, supporting smartphones (both iOS and Android), smartwatches, NFC cards, and traditional key fobs. This allows users to select their preferred access method for any situation. The system is fully certified for CCC, ICCOA, and ICCE standards, enabling users to store NFC cards in wallet applications on devices from major manufacturers such as iPhone, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo. This means users can still enjoy full functionality even when their phone’s battery is low, maintaining a uniform access experience across all mobile ecosystems.

UWB Technology Beyond Digital Keys

Taking it a step further, YFORE is repurposing UWB modules for new features that maximize hardware value. For example, the UWB Kick Sensor allows for contactless opening and closing of the trunk with a simple foot gesture, complemented by algorithms that prevent false activations. Additionally, the UWB Child Presence Detection (CPD) feature accurately recognizes if individuals or pets remain inside the vehicle after locking, enhancing safety.

Proven Reliability in the Automotive Industry

With over 2.5 million digital keys delivered, YFORE stands as a leading Tier 1 supplier of automotive electronics in China. Committed to being a reliable partner to customers in the smart vehicle sector, YFORE collaborates with more than 20 local and global OEM partners, securing a significant market share among emerging electric vehicle startups in China.

YFORE is actively involved in key standardization entities (CCC, ICCE, ICCOA, FIRA, Sparklink) and was a pioneer in mass-producing NearLink digital keys in 2024. With its early market launch—12 months ahead of competitors—YFORE delivers OEM-ready solutions for next-generation platforms, reinforcing its essential role in shaping the automotive ecosystem.

Through innovations aimed at enhancing security, user experience, and operational flexibility, YFORE is setting new standards in automotive access solutions. As the industry evolves, the introduction of such technologies promises to redefine how vehicle owners interact with their cars, making access more seamless and secure than ever before.
