Explore the World of Matcha: A Collaborative Program for Kids at CTIS

This summer, from July 27 to August 7, 2026, CTIS invites students to explore the fascinating realm of matcha through an immersive hands-on program. The PROJECT MATCHA CREATORS will offer participants a unique opportunity to collaborate with Itoen, a leading tea company, and industry professionals to develop and market their own matcha drink products. Conducted entirely in English, this program encourages young learners from grades 5 to 8 to harness their creativity and innovate within the beverage sector.

Program Overview

During the CTIS Exploratory Program, students will tackle the challenge: “Let’s develop a matcha drink product for the world and experience promotion!” Over a span of ten days, they will engage in project-based learning (PBL), researching and creating products that not only appeal to local tastes but have the potential to captivate international consumers.

The program is designed to develop critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills in a real-world context. Each session, handled by expert instructors, aims to equip students with the essential knowledge and experience necessary for future endeavors in business and marketing.

Guest Speakers and Expert Instruction

Guests from Itoen will deliver lectures in Japanese with English interpreters, thereby bridging language barriers while inspiring students with their unparalleled industry insights. Guest speakers will also include professionals from the tea distribution sector and advertising industries, providing a comprehensive look at every aspect of product development and marketing strategies.
