A Day for Future Scientists and Engineers
On July 23, 2026, a remarkable event titled
'Future Innovators: Exploring Curiosity and Challenges with Akira Yoshino' will take place at the University of Tokyo's Hongo Campus. Designed for middle and high school students, this special event aims to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers through direct engagement with some of the leading figures in energy research and academia.
Keynote Speakers
The highlight of the event will be a series of enlightening talks featuring Nobel Prize laureate
Akira Yoshino, a distinguished fellow of Asahi Kasei who developed lithium-ion batteries, alongside prominent professors from the University of Tokyo, including
Jun'ichi Yamada and
Taro Ichisugi. These esteemed speakers will dive deep into their personal journeys, sharing insights on:
