SIGEP WORLD 2025: A Global Showcase for Foodservice Excellence
The SIGEP WORLD event, organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), is set to take place in Rimini from January 18 to 22, 2025. This celebrated trade show is recognized as a premier gathering for excellence in the foodservice industry, and the upcoming edition promises to be more internationally vibrant than ever. With Saudi Arabia highlighted as the guest country, attendees can expect an enriching environment that underscores the rapid growth and demand for technological innovations in the food service sector in the Middle East.
According to Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG, the event anticipates participation from exhibitors spanning 33 countries, including Germany, Spain, China, France, Turkey, Belgium, Poland, and the USA. These nations play critical roles in key segments of the foodservice market, such as ice cream, pastry, bakery, coffee, chocolate, and pizza. The integration of international exhibitors reflects the significance of global networks and partnerships in achieving success in these dynamic markets.
Marco Carniello, the CBO of IEG, emphasized the importance of the strategic alliances formed with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA). As a result, SIGEP WORLD will welcome foreign delegations and over 3,000 buyers, including prominent representatives from restaurant chains, hotels, ice cream parlors, pizzerias, and cafes.
Saudi Arabia will bring its vibrant market to the forefront, showcasing a growing interest in technological advancements. This year's edition expects to host a delegation of top buyers from Saudi organizations, including established entities like Barn's, a coffee shop chain operating over 800 locations, and Elite Hospitality/Al-Nahla Group, a leading hospitality company. Al Tazaj, a fast-food chain with more than 120 outlets, will also aim to explore potential collaborations at the event.
To facilitate international attendance, a direct flight route from Munich to Rimini will be operational throughout the event, easing the journey for many participants. The theme for this year’s event, “Technological Innovation and Sustainability in Foodservice,” will be central to discussions, and participants can look forward to approximately 40 international seminars featuring 60 expert speakers from the out-of-home sector.
Among the participants are 520 buyers from 79 countries, including the United States, India, Canada, Brazil, Turkey, and China, who have opted into the Top Buyer Program. Furthermore, 2,500 European buyers from various nations, including Spain, Germany, France, Romania, Greece, and the United Kingdom, are expected to engage in the Premium Program.
Notably, a wide array of organizations will participate in the event, including the North American Ice Cream Association, the Baking Association of Canada, Brazilian Ice Cream Association, Restaurant Association of South Africa, and many more. These associations signify the diverse interests converging at SIGEP WORLD, all aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation within the foodservice landscape.
In conclusion, SIGEP WORLD 2025 is poised to be a gateway for culinary professionals to explore new opportunities, share expertise, and drive advancements in foodservice, catering to a global audience that sets its sights on technological excellence and sustainability. With Saudi Arabia as the guest country, attendees can expect exciting insights and networking opportunities that will shape the future of foodservice across international markets.
