This partnership aims to uplift Lahainaluna High School by refurbishing its locker rooms, a vital project in the wake of the devastating wildfires that struck Maui in 2023. Following the catastrophe that impacted over 450 student-athletes and their families, this initiative is a powerful testament to hope and recovery.

A Beacon of Hope for Maui

After the tragic fires destroyed homes and claimed lives, Lahainaluna High School emerged as a center of resilience during the crisis. The tireless efforts of the school’s football team served as a symbol of determination and unity within the community, prompting the NFL to honor them as honorary captains during Super Bowl LVIII. The heartfelt tribute narrated by quarterback Marcus Mariota showcased the spirit of these young athletes and their commitment to rising above adversity.

A Vision Realized

With the launch of the Rams’ 'Mauicamp' in collaboration with the Hawai'i Tourism Authority, the team aims to give back to the Lahaina community. Between June 16-19, 2025, events were organized to officially unveil the new locker room designs and emphasize the significance of this commitment. Molly Higgins, the Rams’ Executive Vice President of Community Impact and Engagement, expressed her excitement about supporting the student-athletes, highlighting how they embody inspiration for the larger community.

The refurbished locker rooms will feature an array of enhancements, including professional-grade lockers, integrated seating, storage solutions, and graphics reflecting Lahainaluna's heritage. The design will resonate with the spirit of unity that permeates the school, echoing their motto of 'We are one,' alongside phrases such as 'I Mua Lahainaluna' that honor local traditions.

A Meaningful Transformation

Travis Hollman, CEO of Hollman Lockers, articulated the significance of providing state-of-the-art lockers to these young athletes, emphasizing their deserving nature following extensive hardship. He expressed pride in donating lockers that have previously adorned collegiate and professional sports venues, ensuring the students receive the best facilities available.

The community celebration on June 17 showcased the culmination of efforts from various stakeholders, underlining the positive impact of collaboration. The new locker rooms are anticipated to be completed by the end of July 2025, just in time for the upcoming school year.
