Yutong Bus Posts Impressive Growth in International Business for 2024

Yutong Bus Achieves Record Sales and Innovation in 2024

In 2024, Yutong Bus, a premier Asian manufacturer of commercial vehicles, marked a significant milestone in its international operations. The company achieved total annual sales of 46,918 units, reflecting a remarkable growth of 28.48% compared to the previous year. This boost in sales is attributed to Yutong's continued commitment to innovation, particularly in the realm of bus technology, where it has made strides in both electrification and intelligent networking capabilities.

Yutong unveiled several groundbreaking technologies during the year, including its hybrid dual-mode transmission system (DMT) at events in Mexico, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. The launch of the new C series coaches, along with the Van 6 model, showcases Yutong's dedication to developing sustainable transportation solutions, such as the H10 hybrid DMT vehicle.

Expansion of International Network

Yutong took substantial steps to broaden its international presence in 2024. The establishment of its first new energy kit factory in Qatar is a clear signal of its intent to deepen local engagements. By the end of 2024, Yutong had successfully activated 16 localized production sites worldwide, allowing it to leverage its manufacturing strength and expertise in new energy technologies.

A strong commitment to corporate social responsibility characterized Yutong's operations across all its markets. The company demonstrated its dedication by providing essential goods and vehicle parts during a flood relief effort in Kazakhstan. Furthermore, at the Green Travel Week in Brisbane, Yutong promoted environmental awareness and received accolades from the AWCPD for its contributions to women's and children's welfare. Yutong also initiated carbon-neutral forest planting campaigns in the UK in collaboration with local distributor Pelican.

Major International Orders

Throughout 2024, Yutong secured significant international orders, reaffirming its robust market position. Notable transactions included 214 E12 buses for Chile, 250 E12 buses for Greece, 46 airport shuttles for Spain, and 600 ZK6116HG buses delivered to Mongolia. Additionally, the company shipped 274 hybrid buses to Mexico, 100 trolleybuses to Kazakhstan, and 500 lightweight V6 buses in Latin America.

Yutong’s bus models have proven their reliability even in extreme environmental conditions. The E18PRO successfully operated at -25°C for 374 kilometers in Kazakhstan, while the U12 became the first Chinese new energy bus to cross the Arctic Circle. The E11PRO shocked observers with its efficiency at ground temperatures of 60°C, consuming just 0.74 kWh/km, whereas the T15E achieved an impressive range of 609 kilometers at -20°C in Finland. In October 2024, the C12E demonstrated its capabilities by traveling 555 kilometers on a single charge in Australia.

Yutong’s dedication to innovation and sustainable practices has set a benchmark in the commercial vehicle industry, and the future looks bright as it drives forward into 2025.
