Mélange de Blanc Partners with The Bridal Council
In a groundbreaking development for the bridal industry, Mélange de Blanc, a prominent luxury bridal tradeshow in New York, has joined forces with The Bridal Council to reimagine New York Luxury Bridal Fashion Week. This initiative marks a significant evolution in how bridal fashion is showcased, bringing together top designers, buyers, and media under one roof for the first time in over a decade.
A Unified Venue
Set to launch in April 2026 at Manhattan's iconic Starrett-Lehigh Building, this comprehensive bridal market will feature runway shows, trade exhibitions, and private showrooms all within an expansive, design-oriented venue that spans over 100,000 square feet. The collaboration aims to elevate the bridal industry experience, mirroring the changes within today’s global bridal market.
"We've heard the same feedback for years during meetings led by The Bridal Council and our internal calls with designers and buyers—New York Bridal Fashion Week needs cohesion," explained Kimberly Marcoux, co-founder of Mélange de Blanc. Designers and buyers have often expressed frustration over the scattered nature of shows, leading to inefficiencies and unsustainable commuting patterns. With this new venture, the intention is to bring back the sense of community that was prevalent when designers showcased their work at the Piers.
Addressing Industry Challenges
This new unified venue directly tackles a long-standing issue faced within the bridal sector: its fragmented nature. The Starrett-Lehigh Building will serve as a centralized hub for connection, discovery, and growth in the industry. As emphasized by Michele Iacovelli, executive director of The Bridal Council, this new location represents a transformative chapter for the New York Luxury Bridal Fashion Week, ensuring that the city continues to be a pivotal center for bridal fashion.
While previous seasons have seen Mélange de Blanc thrive with the inclusion of diverse and sustainable designers, the new collaboration with The Bridal Council aims to broaden its scope even further for 2026. Early conversations are already in motion to introduce more bridal markets, welcome international brands, and include innovative runway presentations.
Looking Ahead
The inaugural New York Luxury Bridal Fashion Week at the Starrett-Lehigh Building is designed to align with global fashion week standards, featuring curated presentations, immersive installations, and dedicated runway spaces. Specific dates, brand partners, and programming details will be announced in the forthcoming months.
In the meantime, Mélange de Blanc will host its upcoming NYLBFW trade show from October 14 to 16 in its existing venue, showcasing established couture designers and introducing new international talent alongside beauty activations in collaboration with Macy's Herald Square.
Mélange de Blanc, which began as a temporary market, has become an essential fixture during New York Bridal Fashion Week, bringing together exceptional bridal brands through thoughtful international collaborations focused on luxury and experience.
