Keita Kawasaki. The exhibition, titled
"HANA GRAPHIC ART - Two Dimensional Art of Flowers", will be held at
Sin Hong Choon, an establishment renowned for its cultural and historical significance in Taiwanese tea. During this time, attendees can engage with Kawasaki's remarkable floral art that beautifully blends the ephemeral beauty of flowers with traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
An Artistic Journey
Keita Kawasaki's journey as a floral artist began with a connection to Taiwan through the
Mami Flower Design School, where he served as the director from 2006 to 2013. This unique connection has fostered a cultural exchange through flowers for over 35 years. The upcoming exhibition marks a significant milestone as it showcases not only the beauty of flowers but also an intricate dialogue between Japanese and Taiwanese cultures, specifically through the medium of tea.
The exhibition features an array of Kawasaki's original works that embody the essence of
HANA GRAPHIC ART. This innovative technique arises from his quest to capture the inherent beauty of flowers, not merely as two-dimensional images but as vivid representations of life and vitality. By utilizing unique methodologies, Kawasaki's works transcend traditional photography and invite viewers to explore the experience of flowers in a new light.
