Bruce Power and NPX Sign Multi-Year Agreement for Innovation and Growth
In a landmark move for the nuclear industry, Bruce Power has renewed its Master Services Agreement (MSA) with NPX (Nuclear Promise X). This agreement aims to foster collaboration and drive innovation in critical areas such as artificial intelligence, project development, and the advancement of new nuclear generation at the Bruce site.
The newly signed five-year agreement is valued at over $50 million, emphasizing NPX's ongoing role as an essential partner for Bruce Power. This extension also includes options for additional future extensions, which highlights the mutual commitment between the two organizations.
NPX is set to expand its footprint in Bruce County, evidenced by a new office opening in Port Elgin. This development aligns with their increasing workforce and reaffirms a long-term collaboration with Bruce Power, further supporting local economic growth. This partnership is a significant step toward leveraging Canadian nuclear technology suppliers to create employment and bolster Ontario's economy."
Bharath Nangia, CEO of NPX, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that Bruce Power aims to be among the most ambitious nuclear operators globally. "This extended agreement builds on years of meaningful results and signals the next phase of growth in our partnership. We look forward to modernizing operations and advancing the new nuclear generation project here at Bruce."
Laurent Seigle, Bruce Power's Executive Vice-President of Projects, spoke about the outcomes the collaboration has produced, stating, "This agreement will enable us to continue working alongside NPX on innovative projects that secure our future while anticipating the next generation of nuclear power at the Bruce site."
