K-BID Online Auctions Welcomes P.J. Fanberg as New President for Future Growth

K-BID Online Auctions Announces P.J. Fanberg as President

K-BID Online Auctions, the premier online auction platform in the Upper Midwest, has officially announced the appointment of P.J. Fanberg as its new president. This announcement marks a significant milestone for the company, which has been a leader in online auctions since 2002. Fanberg, a seasoned auctioneer and member of the Minnesota State Auctioneers Association, has a wealth of experience that positions him to lead K-BID into the next chapter of its growth and development.

A Homecoming for Fanberg

P.J. Fanberg sees this new role as a return to his roots. During his early career, Fanberg began working in the auction industry with K-BID, gaining invaluable experience. He initially entered the auction business in 2013 and dedicated seven years to K-BID in various roles, including as an affiliate and Vice President of Operations. His journey then took him to Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers for six years, solidifying his status as one of the top auctioneers within the K-BID network.

In his own words, "K-BID is the company I broke into the auction industry. I really cut my teeth on the affiliate model and doing auctions online." His passion for the industry reflects a deep-rooted understanding of the auction process and a commitment to fostering relationships between buyers and sellers.

Vision for the Future

Speaking about his vision for K-BID, Fanberg expressed strong enthusiasm for building upon the company’s established foundation. He aims to enhance the affiliate network and develop stronger connections with sellers, particularly tapping into underutilized markets among corporate and government entities looking for auction services. "There are a lot of untapped corporate and government entities out there that need our services — they just don't know it yet," he stated.

K-BID has long intertwined the excitement of live auctions with advanced technology, providing an exceptional auction experience for both buyers and sellers. With over 4,500 auctions conducted annually, the platform attracts hundreds of thousands of verified buyers, demonstrating its robust reach in the auction industry.

An Open Invitation to New Bidders

Fanberg encouraged newcomers to explore K-BID, noting the vast array of items available. "The biggest thing to know is that it's local — it's right in your backyard — and it's online and easy. There are 25,000 to 35,000 items in your backyard right now that will sell in the next two to three weeks. That's very eye-opening for new bidders," he remarked.

Under Fanberg's leadership, K-BID is set to prioritize values such as integrity, innovation, partnership, service, and transparency. He emphasized that the company would maintain its ethical standards, assuring bidders that the products listed are accurately represented. For him, trust is paramount: "When bidders trust that what they're spending their hard-earned money on is exactly what you told them it was — good, bad, or ugly — they're happy with the experience."

A Warm Welcome

The K-BID community, including staff, affiliates, sellers, and the thousands of active buyers, has been invited to welcome P.J. Fanberg back into the fold. "I'm not here to change much of anything. It's a great company with great people working with great bidders and auctioneers... they just need somebody to shepherd it and make sure it continues to stay great," he concluded.
