ChangAn Automobile Celebrates Global Expansion with New Factory Opening in Rayong

Vast Ocean" initiative, this new factory highlights the company's capability to establish a world-class smart manufacturing center that delivers high quality, exceptional efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The facility exemplifies how the production of new energy vehicles can integrate digitization, intelligence, and sustainability, thereby supporting ChangAn's global expansion. Designed with eco-friendly principles, it harnesses photovoltaic energy, rainwater recycling, air recirculation, virtual simulation, and digital systems to minimize energy consumption and enhance efficiency.

Positioning Thailand as a hub for Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, ChangAn continues its "In Thailand, For Thailand" strategy, aiming to surpass 5 million global sales and 3 million sales of intelligent new energy vehicles by 2030. In the next three years, the company plans to launch 12 new energy products, accelerating the deployment of AI and assisted driving technologies. Additionally, a new spare parts warehouse in Rayong will serve as a global center for right-hand drive vehicles, aiming for a 98% satisfaction rate and 24-hour order delivery.

This year, ChangAn will enhance its Thai digital service platform by incorporating AI-optimized features, including intelligent vehicle control, remote diagnostics, battery monitoring, and smart maintenance to improve user experience. Since 2017, ChangAn has pursued its third entrepreneurial initiative and continued its global growth through its green, smart, and Vast Ocean plans. The company has established three key brands: CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR, with ambitions to lead in low-carbon, smart mobility solutions. In 2024, global sales reached 2.684 million vehicles, marking a 5.1% increase from the previous year, while new energy vehicle sales skyrocketed to 735,000 units, reflecting a substantial 52.8% rise. ChangAn has expanded its products into markets such as Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Germany, and since November 2023 has launched seven models in Thailand, including the DEEPAL S07, E07, and AVATR 11, achieving sales exceeding 14,000 units, ranking it among the top four in the country.

"We will continue to focus on long-term growth and local operations. We want this factory to be a reference point," stated Zhu Huarong, president of ChangAn Automobile. "Looking ahead, ChangAn is committed to becoming a low-carbon smart mobility technology enterprise."
