Support for New Jewelry Brands: Launching Unique Ventures in 2026

Jewelry Consumer Support Initiative

In a notable development in the jewelry sector, Lucky and Company, based in Kofu, has announced the two selected companies for its third annual "Jewelry Brand Startup Support Project." Co-hosted with Takashimaya and Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores, this initiative aims to empower aspiring jewelry designers.

After receiving over a hundred applications since the call for entries began on April 7, 2025, the rigorous selection process concluded on June 4, 2025. The chosen brands will debut at pop-up stores in Takashimaya and Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores in Spring 2026.

Selected Brands

1. ECOTONE

Representative: Ken Dōgami (CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Wellulu)

ECOTONE operates "Wellulu," a well-being media platform that focuses on co-creating a better and connected community. Dōgami expresses a vision of transforming diverse individuals' aspirations into jewelry, aiming to spread well-being messages through these tangible creations. The brand seeks to design jewelry that recipients would cherish forever.

2. Uzuri Lifestyle Brand

Representative: Naruhiko Yamagishi (Founder/CEO)

Yamagishi articulates the significance of origin in product narratives, advocating for the rich history and culture of Africa through unique jewelry. Their goal is to bring exquisite pieces, crafted by skilled artisans from Africa, to the global market while generating local employment and fostering community growth.

Project Overview

The selected brands will receive expert guidance from the department store buyers for product development, including design and pricing advice. Lucky and Company will generously cover all aspects of product creation costs—such as design sketches, jewelry molds, and samples—allowing participants to focus on market entry without the burden of financial overheads.

This support opens doors for brands to develop products showcased at the upcoming pop-up events and potentially establish permanent storefronts in the future. The project details and production processes will be shared on the official project webpage.

Support Services Include:

  • - Design and pricing assistance
  • - Creation of design sketches, prototypes, and samples
  • - Development of landing pages, product photography, and customer service handling
  • - Provision of staff for popup store operations

In response, Lucky and Company, alongside Takashimaya and Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores, has initiated this project to stimulate the creation of next-generation jewelry brands and revitalize the industry as a whole.
