Moveez to Showcase Autonomous Taxi Experience at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026
From April 27 to April 29, 2026, Moveez Inc., a Kanazawa-based startup specializing in self-driving technology, will collaborate with S.RIDE Inc. to offer a unique opportunity to experience autonomous taxis at the global innovation conference, "SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026." With a rich foundation of over 28 years of research in autonomous driving, stemming from Kanazawa University, Moveez aims to push the boundaries of robotic taxi technology to make it a practical transportation solution.
The autonomous driving system devised by Moveez employs a cutting-edge sensor fusion technology that combines imaging radar with LiDAR point cloud data to effectively respond to various environmental challenges such as heavy rain, snow, and dazzling sunlight. Additionally, their mapping-less autonomous driving technology reduces reliance on HD maps, allowing for a seamless introduction of robotic taxis not just in urban areas but also in rural and complex roadway environments.
Objectives of the Trial Rides
The upcoming test ride event is designed to facilitate understanding and encourage the social implementation of robotic taxis, in order to promote public awareness of Moveez’s technology. Attendees will have the chance to experience a fully automated ride with the company’s innovative "all-weather × mapping-free" driving technology (Level 2*). This experience will take place in the Tokyo Bay Area, specifically near the Tokyo Big Sight venue.
Guests will have the opportunity to book a ride via the S.RIDE app during the Public Day on April 29, enabling them to experience a ride similar to real-world applications of robotic taxis. By facilitating an onboarding experience from the app to the ride itself, Moveez is aiming to deliver a glimpse into the future of mobility services. More details about the trial ride event will be released on Moveez's official website leading up to the event.
Exhibitions and Presentations
During the conference, Moveez will also have an exhibition booth where they will share insights into their all-weather, mapping-free autonomous driving technology along with results from various demonstration experiments conducted in different regions. Visitors will get a close look at the latest advancements in self-driving technology and its potential for early implementations in society.
