AVAIO Digital, a leading developer of sustainable hyperscale data centers, recently announced the appointment of Jason Norado as its new Senior Project Manager. With an impressive three-decade-long career in global data center design and operations, Norado is expected to play a pivotal role in the company’s ambitious expansion plans.

Norado comes to AVAIO Digital from Digital Realty, one of the foremost names in the data center sector, where he excelled as Senior Regional Design Manager. His tenure at Digital Realty allowed him to spearhead the successful deployment of over 500 megawatts of data center capacity, showcasing his ability to manage large-scale projects effectively.

Before his time at Digital Realty, Norado was the Vice President of Critical Facility Infrastructure at DataBank, managing a robust portfolio of 78 premium data centers across 30 different U.S. markets. His focus on building high-performing teams and ensuring the utmost reliability led to tremendous successes in maintaining five-nines uptime – a key metric in the data center industry.

Moreover, Norado’s 24-year career at Verizon and its predecessor companies also adds considerable weight to his experience. At Verizon, he was involved in designing and constructing hyperscale data centers and other crucial telecommunications infrastructures across the country. His early career was marked by significant contributions to the establishment of co-location facilities in major U.S. markets, even before the landmark Telecom Act of 1996.

As a seasoned professional, Norado has witnessed and contributed to pivotal moments in the evolution of America’s digital infrastructure. His roles have encompassed everything from managing crisis operations during natural disasters like Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy to overseeing the development of secure facilities and Network Operations Centers (NOC).

Jason Norado's extensive background positions him perfectly to support AVAIO Digital’s goal of developing a global portfolio of AI-ready data centers.
