ARA Advances Rally Racing for 2025
The American Rally Association (ARA), the leading rally series in the United States, is revving up for an exciting season in 2025 with transformative changes under a new promotional entity. RallyForward™, spearheaded by motorsports legend Lance Smith, aims to elevate the profile of stage rallying across the country, ensuring that the thrill of rally racing reaches enthusiasts of all backgrounds.
RallyForward™ Takes the Wheel
RallyForward™ has signed a significant multiyear agreement with the United States Auto Club (USAC) to manage the promotional rights for all ARA events. This includes the highly regarded ARA National Championship, alongside regional competitions encompassing the East, Central, and West championships. While RallyForward™ will oversee promotional activities, USAC will continue its vital role in competition management, including licensing and rules enforcement, promising a seamless transition for fans and competitors alike.
Lance Smith, the founder of Vermont SportsCar and a longstanding figure in the rally community, expressed his passion for rallying and his commitment to expanding the sport’s accessibility. "I love everything about rally racing, and it has been incredibly rewarding for me over the years; I want to return the favor," he stated. His vision is a clear one: to share the excitement of rallying widely and create a sustainable business ecosystem that supports everyone involved, from organizers to teams and fans alike.
New Partnerships and Visibility
In a significant boost for the organization, the ARA has announced its collaboration with Kubota Tractor Corporation, which will serve as the Presenting Sponsor and Official Land Management Equipment provider for the 2025 ARA National Championship. This partnership is seen as a landmark moment, bringing in new resources and increased visibility to the sport.
Preston Osborn, ARA Series Manager, highlighted the unique appeal of American rally racing, which blends authentic adventure, high-performance vehicles, and rapid growth. He noted, "American rally, with its unique combination be offered unparalleled marketing opportunities to corporate partners. Kubota was the first to seize this opportunity, and we look forward to welcoming them into our community."
Osborn also pointed out the rising interest in ARA events, including National Championships and regional competitions, reporting that many automotive and tire manufacturers have reached out to ARA more than ever before. This momentum indicates a flourishing landscape for rally racing, with plans to strategically reinvest in the series to enhance experiences for competitors and fans alike.
Exciting Season Ahead
The 2025 season is poised to kick off with the Sno*Drift Rally, scheduled for February 7-8 in Atlanta, Michigan. This event is not only a fan favorite but also sets the stage for a remarkable rally season ahead.
