Location Managers Guild International Welcomes New Board Members for 2025



The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) has officially announced its newly elected members for the 2025 Board of Directors. This esteemed group includes Andrea Keener from Georgia, Mo Qazzaz representing Alberta, Canada, and Kay Pointing Wilson from Greater London, United Kingdom. This announcement was made by John Rakich, the current president of the LMGI.

Keener, Qazzaz, and Pointing Wilson are highly accomplished professionals with significant experience in both television and feature films, ensuring they will make substantial contributions to the ongoing success of the LMGI. Each brings a robust history of working on major projects. For instance, Andrea Keener has worked on major films such as "Ant-Man," "Captain America," and Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon," alongside prominent television productions like "Cold Case" and "Scandal." Meanwhile, Mo Qazzaz is celebrated for his award-winning work on the series "Fargo" and "The Last of Us," reflecting his recognized talent and contribution to the industry. Kay Pointing Wilson is also noted for her work on productions like "Venom," "The Last Dance," and "Father Brown," and she is an active member of the Broadcasting Entertainment Communications and Theatre Union (BECTU) alongside the Television Access Project Production Spaces.

In addition to these new members, the existing board holds a strong blend of experience. The re-elected members include Danny Finn from California, Angus Ledgerwood from New York, Robin Macdonald from British Columbia, Edward Mazurek also from California, and Scott Trimble from California. This leadership continues to embody the commitment to the location management profession and its elevation within the entertainment sector.

During the March 16th Board meeting, the 2025 Executive Committee was also finalized, which includes President John Rakich, 1st Vice President Angus Ledgerwood, 2nd Vice President Danny Finn, Treasurer Edward Mazurek, and Secretary Lisa Scope. As President Rakich begins his fourth term, he expressed his gratitude for the continued support from LMGI members, acknowledging the hard work of outgoing board members while warmly welcoming the new directors.

Election Committee Chair Edward Mazurek emphasized the remarkable turnout for this year's election, noting that with eight open board seats and 18 outstanding candidates, the election set new records for participation and engagement among the LMGI members. This enthusiasm reflects the professionalism and high regard for the chosen candidates.

The LMGI also took a moment to honor the service of outgoing board members, including Jimmy Ayoub, Mac Gordon, and Alison Taylor, who each have left a significant impact on the organization. Vice President Finn highlighted Taylor's vital role over eight years and mentioned that her influence in location management will be lasting. The board expressed their appreciation for Ayoub and Gordon as well for their dedicated contributions to both the LMGI and the larger community.
