Experience Logistics and IT: A Unique Work Program for Kids This Summer

Discover the Exciting Work Experience Program this Summer!

Have you decided on a summer project yet? Pal System Cooperative is excited to announce its 'Work Experience' program, running for a total of nine days this summer. The event will take place over four separate days on August 2, 7, 25, and 28, 2025, at the innovative logistics and IT facility in Inagi City, Tokyo. This initiative is designed for elementary school students and their parents, focusing on how logistics and IT work in the delivery service.

A Rare Opportunity with Real Equipment

Participants will engage with actual sorting machines used in Pal System’s logistics center, utilizing original videos, panels, and tablets to learn about the delivery process while having fun. The program lasts around 60 minutes and is supported by the Inagi City Board of Education.

Every week, Pal System delivers over 10 million items to about 800,000 households. This program introduces children to the intricate systems of logistics and information technology that ensure products are delivered efficiently. It also promotes understanding of the modern digital transformation and provides insights into sustainable practices, such as ordering necessary food items in advance to reduce food waste.

Since the launch of the Work Experience Program in 2023, over 1,000 participants, including local middle and high school students, have benefited from this insightful experience. Children have expressed their enjoyment, saying things like, "Shopping on the tablet is fun!" while parents have commented, "I learned a lot too," and “My child has become more interested in food through this program.”
