Experience Equestrian Sports with Kids: Project at JRA Equine Park

Join the Fun at the Kids Equestrian Sports Project!

The much-anticipated Kids Equestrian Sports Project, organized by the Japan Equestrian Federation, is set to take place at JRA Equine Park in Setagaya, Tokyo, on November 15 and 16, 2025. This exciting event is designed for children in elementary school and above, with a limit of 50 participants per day, offering a range of engaging and free programs to foster a love for horses and equestrian sports.

Event Highlights

The event coincides with the Japan Show Jumping Championship 2025 Part I, held from November 13 to 16, making it the perfect opportunity for children to immerse themselves in the world of horses as autumn foliage unfolds.

On both days, each limited to 50 participants, children will have the chance to enjoy a variety of activities:

1. Lunch Time: Participants will move to the `rinato kitchen`, located on the second floor of the main office, where they will enjoy a delicious one-plate lunch and drinks. Parents of children with allergies are encouraged to bring safe meals for their children.

2. Pony Interactions: Meet and greet friendly ponies, each no taller than 147 cm, and experience their warmth and presence up close.

3. Show Jumping Watching: Guided by expert staff, participants will observe the ongoing Japan Show Jumping Championship 2025 Part I. The staff will explain the rules of competition and highlight key moments.

4. Flower Planting Activity: Using horse manure as fertilizer, everyone will participate in a flower planting activity. This hands-on experience will promote environmental education and the interconnectedness of horses with nature.
* Participants will take home a flower pot grown with horse manure, highlighting this unique connection.

5. Special Access to Show Jumping Arena: One of the unique experiences includes special access to the show jumping arena, giving participants an insider’s view of the event, typically restricted to officials and competitors only.

Concurrent Event: Japan Show Jumping Championship 2025 Part I

The Kids Equestrian Sports Project runs alongside the prestigious Japan Show Jumping Championship 2025 Part I, where upcoming and established equestrian talents compete. This championship hosts the nationally renowned event for show jumping, with jump heights reaching up to 155 cm, adding an additional layer of excitement for young participants to witness top-tier equestrian performances.
