Plathome Introduces Digital Ticketing System for the Omagari Fireworks

The introduction of the digital ticketing feature follows a successful demonstration at the Autumn 2025 Omagari Fireworks Festival. This trial run showcased the convenience of digital tickets in replacing traditional paper tickets and aimed to offer a range of new benefits unique to the digital format.

Plathome has consistently engaged with the local government of Daisen since signing a collaborative agreement in March 2024, focusing on enhancing regional revitalization and promoting a digital transformation in tourism (DX). Ahead of the digital ticketing system launch, Plathome has been actively updating the app and has successfully integrated Hitachi's biometric authentication technology known as PBI™ during the 2025 events.

The digital ticketing feature aims to provide users with an advanced experience, allowing for easy ticket purchase and management directly within the app. The app will support payments through credit cards, enabling seamless transactions for users.

Key Features of the Digital Ticketing System

The upcoming update will introduce several enhancements to the application, including:

1. Digital Ticket Management: Users will be able to purchase and manage their tickets directly from the official app using credit card payments.

2. QR Code Access: Visitors can present the QR code from their digital tickets for swift and precise entry into the event venue.

Implementation Timeline

• - April 2026: Official launch of the digital ticket feature will coincide with the Spring 2026 Omagari Fireworks Festival.
• - August 2026: Focus on large-scale ticket operations and improved visitor entry at the National Fireworks Competition.
• - Throughout 2026: Enhancements will be made using Hitachi's biometric infrastructure to improve entry experiences and event participation through decentralized ID management technology, referred to as BioSSI.
