ClearSky Health Expands Its Reach with New Rehabilitation Hospitals in Arizona and South Carolina

ClearSky Health Expands Its Reach

ClearSky Health, a leader in rehabilitation healthcare, is making significant strides in enhancing access to medical care with plans to establish two new rehabilitation hospitals. These facilities will be located in Casa Grande, Arizona, and Seneca, South Carolina, marking a strategic expansion of the company to a total of 19 locations across the nation. Each of the new hospitals will feature 36 beds, aimed at providing specialized care for patients recuperating from various severe medical conditions.

Focus on Specialized Care

The intention of the new facilities is to offer rehabilitative services tailored to those overcoming debilitating injuries or complex health issues such as strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. With projections indicating that each hospital will serve over 650 patients annually, it is evident that this expansion not only enhances healthcare services but will also generate approximately 100 new jobs in the local communities.

CEO Michael Warrington articulated the vision behind this expansion, stating, "Our goal is to strengthen the health and well-being of people in each community by expanding access to critical post-acute healthcare services." He believes that the new hospitals' close proximity to patients' homes and families will significantly impact recovery, allowing patients to focus on regaining their independence and returning to their daily lives more effectively.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The new rehabilitation hospitals will stand out due to their advanced features. Each will encompass around 45,000 square feet, ensuring ample space for private patient rooms and a variety of rehabilitation activities. Notably, the facilities will include:
  • - Rehabilitative gym equipped with specialized equipment for individualized therapy.
  • - On-site dining services featuring a dedicated chef and meal options tailored to recovery needs.
  • - Activities of daily living space, which mimics home environments to foster practical skills.
  • - Outdoor therapeutic courtyard to provide patients with a calming, healing environment.

Warrington expressed a commitment to quality service, saying, "Our teams will go above and beyond to provide patients and their families with exceptional care and support." He emphasized the importance of the results that stem from such dedicated care, aiming for successful outcomes that lead to improved patient recovery.

Proven Benefits of Rehabilitation Hospitals

Research substantiates the effectiveness of rehabilitation hospitals over nursing homes or skilled nursing facilities. Patients typically exhibit better recovery outcomes, such as:
  • - Timely returns to their homes post-treatment.
  • - Prolonged stays at home without needing readmission.
  • - Fewer emergency room visits.
  • - Extended lifespan compared to counterparts in other facilities.

The establishment of these hospitals aligns with ClearSky Health's ongoing mission, which is underscored by their existing network of 15 medical rehabilitation hospitals already operational in various states, including Florida, Kansas, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin. With two additional facilities currently under development in Wisconsin, their intent to grow is clear.

As ClearSky Health embarks on this ambitious journey, it reinforces its dedication to elevating healthcare standards and making a lasting impact in local communities. The new facilities promise not just to enhance rehabilitation services but to foster better health outcomes and community well-being at large.
