Likang Life Sciences Unveils Innovative Cancer Solutions at ABU DHABI Future Health Summit 2026

Likang Life Sciences Showcases AI-Driven Cancer Solutions

Recently, Likang Life Sciences, a leading biotechnology company specializing in AI-enabled personalized cancer immunotherapies, made a remarkable appearance at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026 held from October 20 to 22. The summit, organized by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, gathered key stakeholders from healthcare, research, and technology, setting a stage for collaboration and progress in the field of cancer care.

At this prestigious event, Likang not only sponsored but also exhibited its advanced scientific platform and ongoing clinical development programs. The presence of Likang’s Co-Founder and Vice Chairman, Shannon Cheung, was particularly noteworthy as he had the honor of meeting significant figures such as UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During these interactions, Cheung articulated the company’s ambitions to establish Abu Dhabi as a hub for international research and innovation in cancer therapies.

A Vision for Future Cancer Care

Cheung participated in a panel discussion titled "The Future of Cancer," which was moderated by Dr. Tarek Fadel from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The discussion included notable experts such as Dr. Arie Belldegrun of Bellco Health, Dr. Toni Choueiri from Harvard Medical School, and more. Cheung emphasized that future cancer treatment shouldn't just aim for early detection but should instead focus on providing personalized and precise therapies that cater to the unique biology of each patient's tumor.

He elaborated on how emerging technologies like genomics, AI, mRNA, and sophisticated cell manufacturing methods are poised to revolutionize cancer treatments. Cheung highlighted the need for scalable solutions that ensure patient accessibility, addressing one of the significant challenges in the healthcare sector today.

Innovative Therapies on Display

During the summit, Likang took the opportunity to showcase its innovative AI-enabled neoantigen discovery platform alongside its investigational immunotherapy pipeline at Booth AD28. Among the promising candidates was LK101, a personalized neoantigen mRNA-dendritic cell therapeutic cancer vaccine. This particular vaccine had already received clinical trial authorization from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2023, and its investigational new drug (IND) clearance was granted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2025, marking significant milestones in its development process.

As discussions continue with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and other strategic healthcare partners in the region, Likang is keen on exploring new avenues for clinical research and precision oncology while eyeing potential collaborations and future manufacturing opportunities within the emirate.
