Stars of Science Competition Expands Reach with Extended Deadline for Applications to July 10

Stars of Science Extends Opportunity for Innovators

In a remarkable move, Stars of Science, the leading platform focused on fostering innovation among young Arabs, has extended its application deadline to July 10, 2026. The decision follows a notable surge in interest from aspiring innovators across the Arab world and the diaspora, eager to make their mark in the fields of science and technology. This extension aims to give even more talented individuals the chance to participate in one of the region's most impactful initiatives.

Produced by the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), which is part of the prestigious Qatar Foundation (QF), Stars of Science has built a legacy over nearly two decades by scouting and nurturing emerging innovators. Many past participants have transitioned their ideas into successful startups, cutting-edge technologies, and practical solutions that tackle real-world issues. The platform has evolved significantly, and Season 18 is no exception with a revamped format that emphasizes not only innovation but also storytelling and venture-building.

Andrea Hamilton, an acclaimed executive producer known for her work on major entertainment franchises like The Voice and So You Think You Can Dance, is at the forefront of this evolution. Partnering with the global Zinc Media Group, Hamilton seeks to transform Stars of Science into a more engaging and cinematic experience while keeping its core mission intact. She expresses her enthusiasm for the extended deadline: “We have seen an incredible level of talent across the region, and by extending the application period, we are opening the door for even more imaginative minds to join us.”

The competition is aimed at individuals aged 18–35 from the Arab world. It welcomes a diverse range of applicants including entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, and designers, as well as those focused on fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, climate innovation, health-tech, and more. Each year, the winning innovator is honored with a comprehensive venture-building experience in Qatar, complete with mentorship, strategic guidance, and vital resources to jumpstart their ideas.

Hamilton reiterates the growing significance of Stars of Science: “This show has shown that extraordinary ideas can emerge from anywhere. Our goal is to spotlight not just the innovations, but the brilliant individuals behind them.” By fostering a community that values creativity and problem-solving, Stars of Science embodies the spirit of collaboration and innovation necessary for future success.

As the deadline approaches, interested candidates are encouraged to apply and seize this opportunity to shape their futures and contribute to the ever-evolving landscape of technology and entrepreneurship in the region. This initiative not only inspires the younger generation but also reinforces the importance of innovation as a central pillar for development across the Arab world.
