Virbac Reports Strong Growth and EBIT Margin in First Half of 2026

Virbac's Impressive H1 Performance in 2026

In the first half of 2026, Virbac proudly announced notable financial results, characterized by a remarkable organic revenue growth of 7.4% and a robust adjusted EBIT margin of 18.8% at constant exchange rates (CERS). This successful financial performance demonstrates the effectiveness of Virbac's strategy in the animal health sector.

The revenue growth was noticeably driven by both segments of Virbac's operations. The companion animal segment experienced a remarkable 10.0% increase, while the farm animal segment also contributed substantially with a growth of 6.7%. Particularly noteworthy was the outstanding performance of the Supercharge platforms, which, excluding Thyronorm, saw an increase of approximately 12% at CERS.

Furthermore, the growth reflected solid performance factors, including a volume and mix effect of around 5.4%, complemented by an approximate 2% increase in pricing. This combination of volume gains and strategic pricing adjustments has allowed Virbac to enhance its operating margin, which rose by 0.5 percentage points when compared to the first half of 2025. This rise can be attributed to a favorable mix effect on the gross margin, although it was slightly offset by increased operating costs related to usual H1/H2 phasing effects.

The net income for Virbac also saw a significant uplift of 5.9%, reaching €87.1 million in June 2026. However, it is important to note that net debt increased to €196 million, up from €173 million by the end of 2025, mainly due to standard seasonal working capital requirements.

Looking ahead, the company's guidance for 2026 remains robust, reaffirming expectations towards the upper end of the initial revenue growth target ranging from 5.5% to 7.5% at CERS. Further, an adjusted recurring operating income margin of approximately 17% is anticipated. This strategic outlook indicates Virbac's confidence driven by its exceptional performance in the first half of the year.

Paul Martingell, the Chief Executive Officer of Virbac, commented on the company’s strong results, stating, "Virbac delivered a strong first half, marked by 7.4% organic growth and an 18.8% operating margin, showcasing our teams' commitment to creating value in animal health. This performance is a clear reflection of the scalability of our 'Supercharge' platforms and the successful integration of Thyronorm."

With the company's 'Growing Together' 2030 strategy as a guiding principle, Virbac is well-positioned to achieve its annual objectives, leveraging its strengths in innovation and customer engagement in animal health.

As the financial landscape evolves, Virbac's noteworthy success in the first half of 2026 serves as a testament to its strategic foresight and operational excellence in the animal health sector. The focus on veterinary health continues to drive the company forward, making it a significant player in this competitive industry.

In conclusion, Virbac’s exceptional performance in the first half of 2026 signifies a promising year ahead, reflecting the company’s long-term vision and commitment to animal health. With ongoing efforts to optimize operations and enhance product offerings, Virbac is set to maintain its upward trajectory in the animal health market.
