Features and Specifications

The new VARTA lithium-ion batteries come in six different models ranging from 50 Ah to 200 Ah, accommodating various power requirements. They offer a lighter and more compact solution, using class A lithium-ion cells which ensure reliability and exceptional performance. Compared to traditional AGM lead-acid batteries of similar size, VARTA’s latest offering provides a substantial weight reduction of approximately 55%.

These batteries can be fully recharged from empty to full in just two to three hours, and they deliver up to double the usable capacity compared to conventional models. This impressive energy efficiency is achieved due to a depth of discharge (DoD) of 80%, allowing users to tap into up to 80% of the nominal capacity during operation.

Smart Monitoring Capabilities

VARTA’s lithium-ion batteries also include intelligent monitoring options to keep track of available power. Users can connect their batteries via Bluetooth to a smartphone application that provides real-time insights, including charge status, general health, temperature, current, and alarms for battery management functions. Additionally, models with capacities of 100 Ah and 150 Ah can integrate with modern CI-BUS management systems onboard, enhancing overall energy management in recreational vehicles.

Durability and Weather Resistance

Designed to withstand challenging environments, the VARTA lithium-ion batteries are engineered with a unique heating function for the 100 Ah and 150 Ah models, making them ideal for winter camping or marine applications. Most variants meet the IP67 protection class standards, ensuring they are resistant to dust, dirt, and water jets. They can even tolerate temporary submersion in water up to one meter deep for as long as 30 minutes without losing functionality. Furthermore, specialized versions are available that incorporate cell heating technology for use in colder conditions, extending the operating temperature range significantly.
