Exhibition - 'HEROES'
To celebrate the release of this remarkable book, a photo exhibition titled 'HEROES' will be held at Nine Gallery, owned by Kan Mimura, from June 17 to June 22, 2025. Attendees will have an opportunity to purchase copies of the photo book at the venue, alongside a gallery talk featuring discussions led by Ozawa and Mimura.

Artist's Message
Taichi Ozawa reflects, "For over 20 years, I have engaged with children around the world, learning from their resilience and purity. Each encounter has contributed to my growth as a photographer. My journey is ongoing, and while I am uncertain about the future, I believe that 'HEROES' represents a milestone in my photographic journey. I hope to look back at this work in the years to come and see how my portrayal of children may evolve or perhaps remain constant. It is indeed a privilege to compile this chapter of my history in a photo book. Most importantly, I express my gratitude to all the super-heroes, the children I have had the fortune to photograph."
About the Photographer
Taichi Ozawa, born in Nagoya in 1975, graduated from Nihon University College of Art’s Department of Photography. After working as an assistant, he became an independent photographer focusing on portraiture. His diverse career encompasses writing for photo magazines and conducting workshops. A significant aspect of his work is centered around photographing children globally, with numerous exhibitions showcasing his endeavors. Some of his notable published photo collections include 'Nauru Biyori,' 'SAHARA,' and 'Equator White Paper.' Standing at 156 cm tall and weighing 39 kg, he is a petite figure crossing the realms of visual storytelling, and he is currently a lecturer at Canon EOS Academy in Tokyo, as well as a member of the Japan Photographers Association.
