The anticipation for the 2025 National Elementary School Typing Contest is building! Scheduled for the summer of 2025, this exciting competition is open to all elementary students, whether as individuals or as part of a group from schools or programming clubs. Not only is it a fantastic opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills, but it is also designed to encourage young learners to develop their typing abilities.

To enter, students can take advantage of the free practice platform, Knowledge Typing, which houses a dedicated Contest Course. Participants must capture a photo of their best score and submit it through the designated application form. Contest Details

• - Eligibility: The contest welcomes elementary school students in grades 1 through 6, as well as those from schools or programming classes.
• - Typing Categories: There will be six divisions based on school year, along with an Expert Course for advanced typists.
• - Application Period: From August 1 to August 28, 2025.
• - How to Apply: Participants should take a photo of their best score from the Contest Course and send it through the application form found here.
• - Announcement of Results: Final scores will be revealed on August 31, 2025, on the Knowledge Typing dedicated site.

Course Structure

The Contest Course includes a range of skills divided into levels:

• - 1st Grade: Maximum score of 200 characters.
• - 2nd Grade: Maximum score of 300 characters—simple words.
• - 3rd Grade: Maximum score of 350 characters—includes more nuanced sounds.
• - 4th Grade: Maximum score of 400 characters—includes English words.
• - 5th Grade: Maximum score of 450 characters.
• - 6th Grade: Maximum score of 500 characters.

For students with exceptional typing skills, there is the Expert Course. This challenge requires participants to type 1,000 characters in 5 minutes using random strings, English words, or phrases, achieving the ultimate typing test!
