Midea Showcases Sustainable Innovations at IFA 2025 to Promote Low Carbon Vision
Midea's Commitment to Sustainability at IFA 2025
During the IFA 2025 event, Midea, a leading name in HVAC technology, showcased its dedication to sustainability by introducing a series of innovative, low-emission products. This effort underpins its guiding principle of "Green Vision, Blue Future" aimed at significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions globally.
Pioneering R290 Solutions
A key component of Midea’s display was its R290 solutions. Midea has been at the forefront of promoting this environmentally-friendly refrigerant since the debut of its first production line in 2010, which gained support from the UN. With a total of 12 advanced R290 production lines, the company boasts an annual processing capacity of 6.4 million units, continuing to drive down CO2 emissions through practical product applications.
Midea has actively contributed to establishing international standards for refrigerants, accelerating the adoption of natural refrigerants in the HVAC industry. Supported by over 10,000 R&D experts across 42 pilot laboratories, Midea offers a comprehensive range of R290 products. Notably, the hybrid H-Pack heat pump, developed by Midea's European design team, stands out for its energy efficiency, compact design, and integration capability with gas furnaces, ensuring reliable heating even in extreme winter conditions.
The Raynor Pump: Award-winning Design
Midea's showcase also featured the Raynor low-temperature air-to-air heat pump, which has garnered acclaim for its effectiveness in harsh climates. Rated A+++ for energy efficiency, the Raynor heat pump achieves a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 5.1, making it one of the most efficient heat pumps on the market today. Tests revealed that it can operate reliably at temperatures as low as -40°C, maintaining heating capabilities down to -25°C.
Designed for durability and performance, the Raynor incorporates advanced frost prevention and corrosion-resistant technologies, earning accolades such as the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award. During IFA 2025, the esteemed Excellent Heating Technology Innovation Gold Award was presented to Midea executives, highlighting the product’s remarkable position in next-generation heating solutions.
Solstice Air Conditioner with AI Technology
Another highlight was the Solstice air conditioner, equipped with an AI-driven motor named ECOMASTER. This innovative air conditioning unit features a 180-degree rotating deflector that optimizes airflow for superior comfort. ECOMASTER leverages data from billions of points to anticipate environmental changes, allowing Solstice to maintain a precise temperature control of ±0.3°C while reducing energy consumption by more than 30%.
Midea also announced a collaboration with Microsoft to enhance voice control capabilities for the air conditioner through AI technology, enabling interaction in over 145 supported languages based on Microsoft Azure.
Leading the Charge Towards Sustainability
Midea’s presence at IFA 2025 demonstrated its commitment to promoting a sustainable lifestyle. By integrating advanced technology with exceptional design, Midea positions itself as a leader in the transition towards low-emission technologies. The company remains dedicated to offering energy-efficient solutions that harmonize environmental responsibility with daily comfort, ensuring a greener future for all.
In summary, Midea’s innovative strides in sustainability showcased at IFA 2025 reaffirm its leadership in the HVAC industry, embodying a forward-thinking approach that prioritizes environmental concerns alongside consumer needs.
