Tricoci University of Beauty Culture Hosts Annual 'Say Yes to The Prom Dress' Drive
In an uplifting initiative aimed at supporting local high school students, Tricoci University of Beauty Culture is thrilled to announce the return of its annual 'Say Yes to The Prom Dress' drive. This event invites community members to donate gently used formal attire, shoes, and accessories, which will allow students to find their ideal outfits for prom—all at no cost.
Taking place on March 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the dress drive will offer a special shopping day at several campuses across Illinois and Indiana, namely Bridgeview, Indianapolis, Rockford, and Normal. This initiative aims to ensure that all students can enjoy this significant event, regardless of their financial situations.
Krissy Crandell, Manager of High School and Community Outreach at Tricoci University, emphasized the importance of giving back, stating, "Prom is an unforgettable occasion, and we want to ensure that financial limitations don't stand in the way of students feeling confident and beautiful on their special night." The event reflects Tricoci University’s commitment to community service and empowerment.
During the drive, students will not only get the chance to pick out dresses and accessories but will also have access to hair and makeup demonstrations provided by the university's talented students. These demos serve to inspire young attendees and offer valuable tips for achieving the perfect prom look.
The event is further enriched by the contributions of sponsors such as Pink Pewter, Beauty Gives Back, and the Daisie Foundation, all of which work together to provide a diverse selection of fashionable options for students. Community donations play a pivotal role in the success of this drive, and all gently used items can be dropped off at any of the 15 campuses operated by Tricoci University until February 28, 2025.
For those wishing to participate, more information about the event and the university’s programs is available on their
official website or their social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
