Imperial Springs International Forum Makes Its Debut in Madrid This December
Madrid Hosts the International Imperial Springs Forum for the First Time
In a significant development for global diplomatic dialogue, Madrid will be the proud host of the Imperial Springs International Forum (ISIF) on December 11 and 12, 2024. Organized by the Club de Madrid, this ninth edition of the forum marks a historic occasion as it is the first time the event will take place outside of China. This change reflects the ISIF's commitment to broadening its multilateral dialogue platform and fostering a more inclusive global order.
Under the theme “Collective Action for a Shared Future”, the upcoming forum is set to attract over 130 political leaders, dignitaries, and experts from more than 40 nations. Among the attendees, there will be former heads of state, esteemed academics, and representatives from various international organizations. Notably, Chinese and Spanish government officials will also be in attendance, including the Mayor of Madrid, who will participate as an institutional partner.
The discussions at ISIF 2024 will tackle pressing global issues such as peace and security, green technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development. The forum aims to explore pathways to enhance multilateral efforts and bolster development financing, promoting cooperative solutions in an increasingly polarized world.
Danilo Türk, the president of the Club de Madrid, expressed the importance of the event, stating, “Hosting ISIF 2024 in Madrid underscores the necessity of creating opportunities for constructive dialogue and collaboration with key global actors. In these complex times, multilateralism and alliances are crucial for addressing challenges that affect societies worldwide.”
As the forum progresses, participants are expected to develop a series of recommendations that reflect a shared vision for confronting global challenges, enhancing multilateral cooperation, and promoting collective solutions.
