ChangAn Automobile Unveils Dubhe Plan 2.0 to Transform Sustainable Mobility in Europe

ChangAn Automobile Advances Smart Mobility in Europe

ChangAn Automobile, a pioneering company in intelligent low-carbon mobility technology, has recently announced the launch of its Dubhe Plan 2.0 at a brand event held in Munich, Germany, on March 21, 2025. This ambitious initiative marks a significant evolution in the company’s strategy towards creating innovative solutions for sustainable mobility to meet Europe's rising demand for environmentally friendly travel.

The Dubhe Plan 2.0 is the next phase following the company’s initial launch of Dubhe Plan 1.0 in 2018. Under the first phase, ChangAn successfully implemented critical breakthroughs in vehicle connectivity and assisted driving technologies, becoming a leader in Level 3 autonomous driving technology with certification in China. From 2020 onward, all new models have featured complete vehicle connectivity and driver assistance systems, coupled with the introduction of the XiaoAn smart voice assistant, which now serves nearly 4.7 million users.

With Dubhe Plan 2.0, ChangAn aims to further its achievements by enhancing intelligent driving, intelligent networking, and interaction technologies, emphasizing the creation of smart vehicles that offer intuitive AI capabilities. These advancements are not merely a goal; they serve as the roadmap for the future of mobility dictated by the need for smarter and greener travel solutions.

A critical aspect of Dubhe Plan 2.0 is the company's commitment to exclusively focus on intelligent product development starting in 2025, phasing out non-intelligent models. This shift underscores ChangAn's dedication to innovative technology research and development, particularly aimed at progressing next-generation batteries. Highlighting this initiative, the company has introduced an all-solid-state battery with an impressive energy density of up to 400 Wh/kg, which promises an extraordinary driving range of over 1,500 kilometers on a single charge.

Additionally, through AI-driven remote diagnostics, safety improvements of approximately 70% have been registered, significantly eliminating associated risks from conventional liquid batteries. The launch of a functional prototype of this solid-state battery is anticipated by the end of 2025, with installation and validation processes projected for 2026, setting the stage for mass production by 2027.

As part of its technological advancements, ChangAn has also announced the introduction of a new software-defined access (SDA) framework centered around a central ring network architecture. This framework is already in mass production alongside the CHANG-AN E07 model, illustrating the company's rapid integration of cutting-edge technology into their vehicles.

At the recent event, attendees were treated to the European debut of the DEEPAL S07. This vehicle showcases state-of-the-art features aimed at enhancing comfort, safety, and user convenience in mobility solutions. Key highlights of the DEEPAL S07 include a large 15.6-inch adjustable touchscreen, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD). Comprehensive safety features are also a priority, incorporating a 360-degree camera view, a driving recorder, and a transparent chassis view. The implementation of intelligent gesture recognition and customizable scene modes promotes a seamless user experience, demonstrating ChangAn's commitment to integrating technology for optimal convenience.

As ChangAn continues to solidify its position in the European market, its commitment to advancing low-carbon and sustainable travel solutions showcases a proactive approach to meeting the evolving transportation needs of global consumers. Through relentless innovation and a focus on intelligent technology, ChangAn strives to lead the way for a more efficient and intelligent future in mobility.
