Penn Station East Coast Subs Launches Exciting MEGA CHEESESTEAK Alongside Barstool Sports

Penn Station East Coast Subs Launches MEGA CHEESESTEAK

Penn Station East Coast Subs, recognized for its delectable grilled-to-order subs and scrumptious deli classics, is excited to introduce a standout addition to its menu - the MEGA CHEESESTEAK. This innovative delight combines an impressive portion of 100% U.S.D.A. choice steak with pepperoni, provolone, American cheeses, sautéed onions, fresh mushrooms, banana peppers, and creamy mayonnaise, all meticulously stacked to deliver maximum flavor.

The MEGA CHEESESTEAK is now available at all 320 Penn Station locations across the country, and fans have until January 2026 to savor this bold creation.

This remarkable sandwich is a product of a collaboration between Penn Station and Barstool Sports’ popular podcast, Pardon My Take, hosted by Dan "Big Cat" Katz and Eric "PFT Commenter" Sollenberger. Working alongside the team at Virtual Dining Concepts, this partnership enhances an already successful relationship as it builds on the previous creation, Pardon My Cheesesteak, while introducing Penn Station as the exclusive provider of this unique sandwich.

Lance Vaught, President of Penn Station East Coast Subs, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "This collaboration represents our continuous evolution in connecting with a new generation of sub enthusiasts. With the MEGA CHEESESTEAK, we merge our deep passion for grilled subs with Barstool’s cultural influence and VDC’s innovative approach. We are thrilled to make this available to our fans."

Robbie Earl, Founder and CEO of Virtual Dining Concepts, added that collaborating with Penn Station was a natural fit, given the franchise’s established reputation for high-quality cheesesteaks. He noted, "Penn Station has a strong legacy in the cheesesteak realm. To launch a bold sub like this, we sought a brand with a loyal following and a well-deserved repute for unbeatable cheesesteaks. Penn Station epitomizes that."

In an impressive demographic strategy, this collaboration primarily targets Gen Z diners, a segment known for their frequent restaurant visits. A recent 2025 study from Wunderknd and Mx8 Labs highlighted that Gen Z typically dines out 2-3 times weekly, with about 10% eating out on a daily basis. To effectively reach this audience, the marketing strategy will emphasize digital media platforms.
