Saucony and METAGIRL Launch Enchanting Collaboration Sneaker

A Sneaker Collaboration Redefining Femininity

Performance running brand Saucony, wholly owned by Wolverine World Wide, Inc., has embarked on an exciting collaboration with the contemporary brand METAGIRL, founded by talented designer Caterina Mongillo. This partnership has birthed a stunning limited-edition sneaker, the "ProGrid Paramount 'Daughter of the Moon,'" set to launch globally on September 13, 2025.

Concept Behind the ProGrid Paramount

Inspired by the mystical narrative of pearls being born from the Earth's waters and celestial powers, METAGIRL delves into Saucony's archives to reinterpret the classic ProGrid Paramount. Retaining the essence of the iconic model, the shoe is creatively refurbished, embodying the enchanting tale with a mesmerizing design that marries both aesthetics and Saucony's renowned performance capabilities.

The sneaker features a 3D-printed, shell-like heel counter, skillfully crafted by the designer's hand-sculpted designs, executed in partnership with Saucony's innovation team. The aluminum silver leather overlays are punch-structured, reflecting glimmers reminiscent of moonlight shimmering on water. Adding to the whimsical appeal, the eye stay showcases layered organza frills that evoke a sense of spirited movement. The Saucony logo on the side, bold like a full moon, accentuates the design's strength, while the pearl studs symbolize quiet strength—an artistic nod to femininity. The shoe inherits the sole structure from the acclaimed ProGrid Triumph 4, fusing tradition with state-of-the-art technology for an unparalleled balance.

Insights from Saucony's Chief Product Officer

Brian Moore, Saucony's Chief Product Officer, commented on the collaboration: "This partnership goes beyond mere collaboration; it represents a significant step for Saucony in amplifying women's voices within sneaker culture. Collaborating with METAGIRL brings a fresh perspective to Saucony, challenging conventional notions of sneakers and opening new doors for the next generation of sneaker fans."
