Royal Caribbean Expands Its Artist Discovery Program

Royal Caribbean International is taking significant steps to enhance its Artist Discovery Program aboard the much-anticipated Legend of the Seas. This program is designed to spotlight emerging artists from the Caribbean and Central America, allowing them to showcase their unique works to vacationers from around the world.

This summer's edition on the Icon Class ship invites local artists to submit their proposals until March 1st. The chosen artists will have the opportunity to paint large-scale murals in visible spaces throughout the ship, including bustling areas such as the Royal Promenade and the Suite Sundeck Lobby.

Set to sail in European waters during the summer of 2026 before making its official Caribbean debut later that year, the ship will feature 28 dining options and innovative entertainment experiences tailored for all family members. With its grand launch scheduled for November 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Legend of the Seas will offer exciting voyages to the Caribbean, including stops at the unmatched Perfect Day at CocoCay, a Royal Caribbean-designed beach destination.

Selected artists will follow in the footsteps of those featured on previous ships, like Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas, where local Caribbean artists brought the region's rhythm and vitality to life. The program at Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas highlighted local Bahamian talent, perfectly capturing the island's unique energy.
