The 31st China International Furniture Expo (Furniture China 2026) and Maison Shanghai 2026 wrapped up in spectacular fashion in Pudong, Shanghai. Held from September 7 to 11, 2026, these twin events attracted a significant number of visitors and exhibitors, solidifying their position as key moments on the global furniture and design calendar.

This year's event saw an impressive total of 180,448 attendees across a vast area, with over 3,200 brands and exhibitors showcasing their offerings in 50 exhibition halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC). This turnout represented a 10.3% increase in attendance year-over-year, underlining the event's growing influence and importance.

One of the standout achievements of this year's expo was the record number of 37,394 overseas visitors, marking a 14.6% increase in international attendance, including 22,080 visitors from abroad. Asia (excluding the Middle East) dominated this segment, comprising 53.82% of the international crowd, with notable numbers from South Korea, Russia, and Japan contributing to the diverse visitor base. The domestic attendance featured strong representation from Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu, totaling 143,054 visits.

The presence of professional buyers and designers was particularly significant, as they accounted for over 75% of all attendees. These professionals were actively seeking suppliers and business partners, with 25.43% focusing on networking, 24.79% gathering market intelligence, and 21.14% looking to discover new products and trends.
