Dr. Mya O. Price Takes on a New Role at Creating Healthier Communities
Creating Healthier Communities (CHC) has made an exciting announcement with the appointment of Dr. Mya O. Price as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Social Impact Officer. This position marks a significant step for Dr. Price and the organization as they aim to implement a comprehensive social impact strategy that strengthens communities across the nation.
Dr. Price is a well-respected strategist in social impact, recognized for her ability to build and manage cross-sector initiatives that deliver real community benefits. Her varied career includes grassroots leadership, philanthropic endeavors, and engagement with national policy, all of which equip her with the experience needed to drive impactful solutions at scale.
Before joining CHC, Dr. Price served as President and CEO of the Root Cause Coalition. In addition, she played a pivotal role in establishing a multi-million-dollar national impact fund for Feeding America, which has aided over 75 community-based organizations nationwide. Her expertise in creating evaluation frameworks and models aligns well with CHC’s mission.

Dr. Price holds a Ph.D. in Urban Leadership & Entrepreneurship from the University of the District of Columbia and a master’s degree in Community Leadership Development from the University of Kentucky. Her educational background, paired with her extensive professional experience, offers her a unique perspective to facilitate community-focused initiatives at CHC.
