Workflow Inc. Launches Exciting Mug Project in Tokyo with Tsukasa Wonder Mug

Workflow Inc. Unveils 'Tsukasa Wonder Mug' Project in Tokyo

Workflow Inc., a design firm specializing in food spaces located in Setagaya, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce the launch of its project, the 'Tsukasa Wonder Mug', in collaboration with Tsukasa Electric Kiln Manufacturing from Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. This project aims to bridge the gap between artisans, manufacturers, and everyday users in Tokyo, promoting a rich cultural exchange through unique ceramic mugs.

Project Overview

Branded as 'Wonder Mug Tokyo', this initiative will be hosted at MOCKUP, an espresso bar operated by Workflow Inc. Activities will include pop-up events, permanent sales, solo exhibitions by various artists, and the development of original product concepts. This integration seeks to cultivate a space that connects artisans who create the ceramics, factories that produce the kilns, and consumers who appreciate and use these works in their daily lives.

In conjunction with this project, the 'MOCKUP Table' event series will provide deeper insight into food, craftsmanship, and the stories behind each piece of art, adding layers of context and appreciation to the culinary experience.

About Tsukasa Wonder Mug

The 'Tsukasa Wonder Mug' is an online platform showcasing a variety of mugs made by talented pottery artists using kilns from Tsukasa Electric Kiln Manufacturing. Each mug reflects the distinct personality of its creator, showcasing an array of shapes, handles, and glazing techniques. Despite the similar theme of a mug, every piece tells a different story and features a diverse range of artistic expressions.

The project will highlight a selection of over 100 unique mugs crafted for this initiative. The upcoming pop-up event at MOCKUP will also feature additional pieces not visible online, providing attendees with the opportunity to experience a wide variety of artistic creations.
