HIGER Showcases New V Electric Buses at Busworld Europe 2025
On October 4, 2025, HIGER, a leading Chinese bus manufacturer, kicked off the Busworld Europe event in Brussels, introducing three new electric bus models from its New V series tailored for the European market. This prestigious exhibition attracted attendees including customers, media representatives, and industry experts from over 20 countries, marking its significance in the bus manufacturing industry.
During the event, Leo Zheng, the executive vice president of HIGER, highlighted the core values and unique features of the HIGER New V series. The buses are designed to deliver tangible benefits to operators, while the innovative vehicle design aims to improve comfort for both drivers and passengers. Coupled with HIGER's extensive service and operational network across Europe, the New V series embodies three key principles: Value, Vector, and Vision.
The development of the New V series took three years, during which HIGER's technical team conducted long-term research on key target markets. Utilizing a full IPD process and an innovative design approach, the series incorporates 3D modular design, smart domain control technology, and advanced manufacturing processes. The vehicles range from 8 to 14 meters in length, accommodating all types of drives, which ensures exceptional flexibility across various applications—ranging from urban and intercity buses to tourist and school coaches, as well as passenger vehicles.
Across multiple editions of Busworld, HIGER has consistently promoted the electrification of buses. From the debut of its supercapacitor urban bus in 2017 to the launch of the electric Azure series in 2019 and the luxurious electric FENCER f1 in 2023, the introduction of the New V series in 2025 reaffirms HIGER's leadership in China's R&D and production capabilities. These milestones highlight not only the strength of the Chinese industry but also its crucial role in global innovations and elevating standards in the alternative energy bus segment.
The evolution of buses transcends just the vehicles themselves; it encompasses breakthroughs in R&D systems, ecosystem collaborations, and the creation of industry standards. With the New V electric series, HIGER stands at the forefront of the global bus market transformation, driving the advancement of Chinese intelligent manufacturing while introducing innovative Chinese buses to the international arena.
