FamilyMart and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Launch Heat Stroke Awareness Campaign Across Japan

FamilyMart's Initiative for Heat Stroke Awareness

In an effort to combat the rising risks of heat stroke, FamilyMart has launched a comprehensive awareness campaign in collaboration with Otsuka Pharmaceutical. This initiative will see original heat stroke prevention videos broadcast across the digital signage network, FamilyMartVision, from July 1 to July 14, 2025. With more than 10,400 stores equipped with digital signage throughout Japan's 47 prefectures, the campaign aims to educate customers on critical measures for preventing heat stroke, such as proper hydration and effective air conditioning usage.

Original Videos Tailored for Each Prefecture

FamilyMart has significantly expanded its outreach since their initial efforts in 30 prefectures last year. This time, they are producing customized 15-second awareness videos specific to each region, ensuring that the messaging is relevant and effectively resonates with local customers. The videos will be aired six times per hour during the specified period and will accompany additional in-store displays, such as show cards and posters, even in locations where the digital signage is absent.

Campaign Details:

  • - Broadcast Period: July 1 (Tue) to July 14 (Mon), 2025, from 11:00 am to 5:59 pm
  • - Video Duration: 15 seconds (broadcasted six times an hour)
  • - Participating Stores: Approximately 10,400 stores across all 47 prefectures
  • - Show Cards: Available from July 1 to July 28, 2025
  • - Posters: Displayed from July 1, 2025, in select prefectures including Aichi, Osaka, Nara, and Okinawa.
