World Top-performing Incubator Conference 2026 Opens in Lingang with AI-Driven Innovation Focus
World Top-performing Incubator Conference 2026: A New Era of Innovation
The World Top-performing Incubator Conference 2026 (WTIC) kicked off on October 26 at the Lingang Center, highlighting the critical theme of "AI-Driven • Innovation Incubates the Future." This year's conference has established a strategic partnership with the Global Laureates Forum, celebrating its sessions during the same week. Together, they have created a full-chain acceleration mechanism linking vertical domains of scientific discovery, technological transformation, and industrial incubation. The fundamental question addressed by the conference revolves around how to navigate from the "first kilometer" to the "last kilometer" of innovation.
As an international benchmark event in China focused on deep technology incubation, the WTIC will run from October 26 to 28, followed by a forum on deep technology transformation on October 31, co-organized with the Global Laureates Forum. This event aims to achieve institutional articulation among the original innovation capacity of leading scientists and the transformation capabilities of elite incubators. The goal is to promote the efficient implementation and transformation of cutting-edge scientific achievements, thereby establishing a complete innovation chain from basic research to industrial application.
During the opening ceremony, a strategic cooperation act was celebrated between the World Laureates Forum (WLF) and the WTIC, where the Shanghai Technology Business Incubation Association (STBIA) and the World Laureates Foundation (WLF) signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The forum presents the "White Paper on the Shanghai Incubation Ecosystem 2026," which provides a systematic overview of the current situation and future trends in the development of incubators in Shanghai.
After three years of accumulated experience, the WTIC has gained a cumulative reach of over 21 million views, spanning over 50 countries and regions and attracting more than 200 speakers, including over 70 international guests. The conference has solidified its reputation as a "link for global incubators and a catalyst for innovation ecosystems."
Evolving from a one-time event to a symbiotic network, the conference has transformed its role from a mere discussion platform to an established periodic mechanism. This year's conference adopts the dual-axis model of "WLF + WTIC" as its main driving force. This approach drives the rapid integration of original innovation into the central stage of economic development, while gathering global wisdom in Lingang. It realizes cutting-edge achievements within the Special Zone and projects the Chinese incubation model to the world.
Consequently, a constant strategic momentum is injected into Shanghai's efforts to become a globally influential center for scientific and technological innovation. It also supports the Lingang Special Zone's mission to establish a high-level innovation base capable of managing resources on a global scale, oriented towards external interaction.
As the initiative continues, regional and global stakeholders are expected to leverage the output of this conference, facilitating a deeper collaborative environment that promotes dynamic exchange between scientific research and practical industry applications, ultimately forging a pathway towards sustainable innovation for the future.
