New Commerce Conference 2025 is set to take place on

New Commerce Ventures (NCV), this conference aims to create opportunities for startups and established companies within the commerce and retail sectors to connect, learn, and innovate together. This marks the second iteration of the conference, following the success of the inaugural event. The conference will include four main components:
reverse pitches by corporations, a
talk session featuring TikTok Shop's Japan manager,

1. Reverse Pitch Session

Each company will present their corporate venture capital (CVC) and open innovation initiatives in a concise three-minute presentation. 2. Talk Session
A highlight of the event will be a keynote talk by
Carlos Qiu, General Manager of TikTok Shop Japan. With TikTok Shop launching its operations in Japan on June 30 this year, Qiu will discuss the latest trends in the Japanese market as well as strategies for leveraging TikTok Shop effectively. The session will also feature pitches from four startups that are positioned to support TikTok Shop's growth.
Carlos Qiu's Profile:
Carlos is a graduate of Waseda University and has extensive experience in business development and organizational management across startups and major tech companies. Since joining TikTok Japan in 2022, he has been instrumental in executing growth strategies across Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions, significantly contributing to TikTok's expansion efforts.
3. Startup Pitch Session
Next, eight innovative startups will take the stage to present their unique solutions in the commerce and retail space. By facilitating connections between startups and established companies, NCV's previous events have successfully generated over 1,200 matches between startups and large corporations, and this year aims to extend that success.
