Pastor Mike McBride Celebrates Double Gold Wins at the 4th Annual Anthem Awards

Celebrating Community Impact: Double Gold Wins at the Anthem Awards

In a remarkable recognition of collective efforts toward social justice, Pastor Mike McBride, an influential community leader and changemaker, recently announced that his two organizations, Live Free USA and the Black Church PAC, have each secured a prestigious gold award at the 4th Annual Anthem Awards. These awards were presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, acknowledging remarkable contributions in the realm of human and civil rights.

Pastor McBride, who serves as the executive director of Live Free USA and is a co-founder of the Black Church PAC, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for these honors. Live Free USA, a national movement focused on ending gun violence and combating the mass incarceration of individuals in marginalized communities, received the award in the Human & Civil Rights Awareness category. Their impactful report titled "A Case Study In Hope" was recognized for its compelling insights and for promoting awareness around critical issues.

Meanwhile, the Black Church PAC, which unites faith leaders, influencers, and community members to harness the political power of the Black church, won the gold in the Human & Civil Rights Community Outreach Engagement category for their proactive initiative called the "Organize the Church" mobilization campaign. This initiative works to enhance civic engagement within Black communities, ensuring their voices are heard in the political arena and advocating for policies that resonate with their moral values.

In his statement, Pastor McBride reflected on the significance of these awards. "I am deeply humbled and honored by our two Gold Anthem Award wins. These accolades are a testament to the tireless work of countless dedicated individuals. It’s the collaboration between community leaders, clergy, artists, and activists that drive our missions to create safe, equitable, and empowered communities," he stated passionately.

Pastor McBride emphasized the importance of collective action in fostering meaningful change, highlighting that the work done by both organizations is fueled by a shared commitment to justice and equality. Live Free USA not only focuses on reducing violence through community violence intervention strategies but also engages with various stakeholders to promote peaceful avenues for conflict resolution.

Meanwhile, the Black Church PAC continues its mission to galvanize Black communities by encouraging political participation and supporting candidates committed to championing justice and equity.

The 4th Annual Anthem Awards were particularly competitive this year, with more than 2,300 entries submitted from 34 countries, reinforcing the growing global commitment toward impactful social change. Patricia McLoughlin, General Manager of the Anthem Awards, remarked, "The Winners of this year's Anthem Awards are truly inspiring. We face much uncertainty in our world today, but the extraordinary efforts of the Anthem Awards community provide hope for a better tomorrow."

Recognizing these organizations alongside others that are effecting real change serves to highlight the collective power of community-driven initiatives. The Anthem Awards emphasize the need for ongoing efforts across a variety of causes, including diversity, equity, inclusion, humanitarian action, and environmental sustainability.
