A+ Federal Credit Union's A+ Gives Day Invites Local Voting for Charitable Donations
On October 12, A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) will conduct its fifth annual A+ Gives Day, a significant event that continues to strengthen the ties between local organizations and the community. This initiative invites the members of Central Texas and the wider community to vote for local nonprofits, giving them a chance to receive substantial donations totaling $10,000. With over 500 A+FCU employees expected to volunteer for this year's event, the focus remains on building stronger communities through charitable service.
As part of A+ Gives Day, community members will have the opportunity to vote online from September 14 through September 27. Each vote will enable nonprofits to gain entries into a random drawing for five donations of $2,000 each, designed to recognize and support the impactful work being done within the community. This voting mechanism not only democratizes the distribution of funds but also engages the community in the process of supporting causes they hold dear.
'Celebrating our fifth year of A+ Gives Day, we observe the positive changes fostered by collective effort,' expressed Eric R. Kase, the President and CEO of A+FCU. He emphasized how the dedication of A+ team members in sharing their time and talents has yielded transformative effects on the communities they serve.
Last year, the voting campaign saw over 3,900 votes from the community, resulting in $10,000 in donations shared amongst the most voted organizations. This tradition will persist, where A+FCU members present donation checks during their volunteer duties at the winning nonprofits, creating a meaningful connection between the financial institution and local charitable efforts.
The array of volunteer projects planned for A+ Gives Day will cover diverse areas including community outreach, improvements in public parks, initiatives for animal welfare, and programs combating food insecurity. These efforts exemplify A+FCU’s commitment to not just being a financial institution, but a responsible community partner.
Voting eligibility requires participants to be over 18, residents of Texas, and possess a valid email address. Voting can only be done once per person each day, ensuring equitable chances for all participating organizations. The platform for voting is built to prioritize user accessibility, making it easy and engaging for members of the community to participate.
A+ Federal Credit Union, which began in 1949 with 50 teachers in Austin, has evolved into an award-winning credit union with over 191,000 members across various branches. It prides itself on offering a full suite of financial products, including loans for homes, cars, and businesses, alongside modern digital banking solutions.
As A+FCU prepares for A+ Gives Day 2026, it looks forward to yet another year of impactful community involvement that reinforces their mission of building a better tomorrow for Central Texas through collaboration and support of local nonprofits. By voting in the upcoming event, residents not only support these vital community organizations but also play a part in fostering stronger neighborhoods and brighter futures for all.
