Boyd Group Services Inc. Announces Executive Appointments

Boyd Group Services Inc. has recently announced the strategic appointments of Steve Hoeft as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its U.S. collision operations and Zach Balthrop as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This move is pivotal for the company as it seeks to bolster leadership amidst the growing complexities in the collision repair sector.

Steve Hoeft has a wealth of experience, having spent nearly a decade at Bridgestone Americas, where he was the President of the Commercial Truck Group. His previous tenure involved managing a vast network of around 4,000 locations across the United States and Canada, with responsibilities ranging from product and demand planning to overseeing commercial dealer and national fleet accounts. This background equips Hoeft with a unique perspective on operational strategy and effective management, essential for leading Boyd’s U.S. Collision Operations, Mobile Solutions, and Procurement.

On the other hand, Zach Balthrop, who has been with Boyd since 2024, has already demonstrated exceptional performance as the leader of the South Division. Balthrop’s past role as Chief Commercial Officer at FYX Fleet and his experience in senior positions at Pep Boys Auto Service and Tires further enhance his capabilities to drive commercial growth for Boyd. His focus will include leveraging the company’s sales resources to improve client relationships across all business lines.

Brian Kaner, President and CEO of Boyd Group, emphasized the importance of these appointments in strengthening the company's executive team. “Steve’s extensive expertise in commercial networks makes him an ideal leader to oversee our operational strategies,” Kaner stated. He further remarked that these changes are intended to align the organization with the evolving demands of the industry and improve service quality across Boyd’s U.S. collision business.

The appointment of a Chief Commercial Officer signifies a crucial element in Boyd’s ongoing growth strategy. With Balthrop at the helm, the company is poised to enhance its marketing efforts, customer experience, and sales performance, thereby positioning Boyd more robustly in the market.

In addition, Cameron Dickson, previously the COO at Joe Hudson’s Collision Center prior to Boyd’s acquisition, will take over as Senior Vice President of Boyd's South Division. This transition underscores the company’s commitment to continuing operational excellence at a regional level.

Boyd Group Services Inc., headquartered in Winnipeg, MB, is one of North America's largest operators of non-franchised collision repair centers. With over a thousand locations throughout Canada and the U.S., Boyd operates under multiple trade names, including Gerber Collision & Glass and Boyd Autobody & Glass. The company is synonymous with quality service and customer satisfaction in the auto repair industry.

The recently announced leadership changes are expected to further sharpen Boyd’s competitive edge and ensure sustained growth as the company navigates the dynamic collision repair landscape. Boyd Group's proactive approach, combined with the rich experience of its new executives, positions the company well for future challenges and opportunities in the market.
