The Human Bean's 2024 Milestone: Community Impact and Innovative Flavors

The Human Bean's 2024 Achievements: Supporting Communities Through Coffee

As 2024 draws to a close, The Human Bean coffee franchise has much to celebrate. This year marked a significant turning point for the company as it launched numerous initiatives that underline its commitment to community support and innovation. With new specialty drinks and impressive giveback days, The Human Bean has shown how coffee can be a catalyst for change and a tool for enhancing social good.

Community Support and Fundraising Highlights

One of the standout moments of 2024 was Earth Day in April, during which drink purchases resulted in the planting of an astounding 52,060 trees in coffee-growing regions worldwide, thanks to collaborations with Trees for the Future. This initiative not only addresses environmental concerns but also strengthens the ties between consumers and the communities producing their beloved beverage.

In June, The Human Bean launched its first-ever Giveback Day in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®, raising more than $70,055 for childhood cancer research and treatment. This initiative captured the spirit of corporate responsibility and marks the franchise's ongoing dedication to impactful charitable work.

The Food Drive Giveback in August garnered attention as well, with The Human Bean contributing to local food banks. The effort was a resounding success, with over 202,998 meals provided, highlighting the efficacy of their $1 donation from every drink sold on that specific day.

October brought the 19th annual Coffee for a Cure event, during which an impressive $565,453 was raised for breast cancer management and prevention. This initiative has collectively brought in over $4.2 million since it began, establishing a solid foundation for future endeavors aimed at supporting those affected by breast cancer.

Innovative Beverages for a Unique Experience

The year also saw the introduction of The Human Bean's proprietary Bright® Energy drink, which combines clean caffeine with energy-boosting vitamins for a refreshing kick. Additionally, drinks like Brown Sugar Boba and Mango Bursting Boba were debuted, offering customers exciting new flavors that complemented the traditional coffee experience. Both offerings were available nationwide for a limited time, creating buzz and drawing customers into drive-thrus.

With the addition of 22 new drive-thru locations and a complete redesign of menu boards, The Human Bean is clearly positioned for further growth in 2025.

A Vision for the Future

Janie Page, the Chief Marketing Officer, expressed pride in the accomplishments of the year, acknowledging how the customers' enthusiasm during giveback days continuously raises the bar. “It’s been an incredible year of firsts for The Human Bean,” she noted. “Our team is driven to keep creating and thinking of new ways to enhance the customer experience. Whatever we do, it’s with the mission of inspiring community connections, with a bean on top.”

The Human Bean's journey from a single drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland, Oregon, established in 1998, to over 260 locations across 23 states signifies impressive growth and unwavering commitment to quality coffee and community engagement.

In conclusion, The Human Bean’s 2024 initiatives not only transformed its business model but also significantly impacted communities. By merging flavorful beverages with a mission of giving back, they have redefined what it means to be a socially responsible franchise while encouraging their patrons to participate in this meaningful journey towards better community support.
